Abstract

This study focuses on comparing the execution times of queries using INSERT and SELECT statements with the ENUM data type in MySQL databases. The research analyzes the performance differences between these approaches, with an emphasis on efficiency in categorized datasets. The insertion was performed using the PyMySQL library, while the SELECT queries were executed in MySQL Workbench, offering practical insights into the impact of ENUM on query execution time in real-world scenarios.
