Automation in the Seedling Production Axis in Early Elementary School
Abstract
The use of emerging technologies in education has driven innovative pedagogical practices. In the Seedling Production axis, students from 1st to 3rd grade in early elementary school experienced the stages of plant cultivation and learned automation using Arduino by building a soil moisture sensor prototype and programming with block-based tools in Pictoblox. These activities increased interest in automated plant care and programming concepts, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy aligned with the BNCC, effectively integrating theory and practice in an interdisciplinary approach.
