The adoption of a service-oriented systems architecture for integration of information systems in a public educational institution

Abstract

The web, at present, is a platform used by many applications. An application with problems in its structure can not provide accurate information and makes it difficult to communicate and share information between systems. At the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Southeast of Minas Gerais - Câmpus Rio Pomba there are several systems that do not communicate. The information is decentralized, which causes the "Islands of Information". Therefore, the purpose of this article is to show the use of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technology to integrate existing systems in the institution. Thus, systems developed in different programming languages can communicate by providing a sharing and reuse of information.
