The Theory of Computation Meeting (ETC) is a forum for the large area of Theory of Computation, being proposed by members of the Special Committee on Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization (CE-ACO), with the aim of promoting greater dissemination of the area for the Brazilian computing community and the like, through the main event of SBC, CSBC. The ETC is intended for students in training but also aims to provide greater integration between researchers and professionals who work in it, whether focusing on pure theory or applications, stimulating discussion about the importance of the fundamentals of computing and its direct application in understanding and problem solving of the most diverse areas and segments of the market.

Topics of Interest

ETC topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Algorithms
  • Computational Complexity
  • Computability
  • Combinatorial optimization
  • Mathematical Programming
  • Graphical and Combinatory Theory
  • Theory of Information, Numbers, and Encryption
  • Theory of Games and Decision
  • Computational Geometry
  • Other applications where theoretical aspects of computing are explored, such as in computational biology, data science, and information retrieval, network computing, etc.
