Neuroacolhimento: A Support Platform for Young Students with High Abilities/Giftedness
Abstract
This project addresses the emotional support of gifted (G) and highly skilled (HS) students in the school environment. It delves into various important but currently under-discussed points, such as cognitive and emotional asynchrony in the development of young people, aiming to draw attention to these differences and break down the stereotypes surrounding the terms. The study is qualitative in nature, starting with an analysis of questions posed to high school students and teachers, which has led to the development of a prototype for a digital platform. This platform aims to help both caregivers and teachers adopt more meaningful approaches, enabling G/HS students to explore their potential and understand their emotions in a healthy and balanced way.
