Um Multicomputador com Sistema Experimental de Comunicação
Abstract
This paper describes a multicomputer with flexible comunication system, based on an hierarquical comunication structure. A comunication network with bipontual chanels, switched by a crossbar, transfers large messages between nodes. A service bus is used to perform the passing of little messages, that come from the working node with informations about the solicitated connections. A centralized node establishes these connections dinamically. The present paper describes the architecture of multicomputer and some details about an implementation based on PC-AT 486 computers and transputer link, beyond some estimates about the machine's performance.
