Abstract

This article presents a methodological proposal to develop archetypes to ensure semantic interoperability among health information systems (HIS). It was performed a proof of concept using the openEHR standard set out by the Ministry of Health to integrate the Brazilian Information Interoperability Standards Catalogue for Health Systems. The methodological proposal was applied to the field of Food and Nutrition Surveillance, in order to observe the problems and propose solutions to the development of archetypes. The developed method suggests the archetypes reuse using a shared repository to facilitate the semantic interoperability of HIS.
