Abstract

This article presents a proposed solution for the implementation of a low-cost baropodometer. This proposal aims to generate a diagnosis for patients who suffer some deformity in the soles of their feet. The proposal consists of a system that determines the points of greatest pressure during a physical therapy session and to identify the type of footstep. Using insoles with FSR sensors attached to measure pressure, it was possible to analyze and diagnose the patient, where the data collected was sent to a monitoring interface. From the analysis of the results, performed by the physical therapists, it was possible to identify that the solution met the initial requirements of the work, delivering through a graph the patterns of plantar distribution of patients, enabling the construction of specific orthopedic insoles for these patients.
