Abstract

Rehabilitation is a process aimed at restoring the motor functions of patients. The guidance of a healthcare professional and the consistency of the patient are crucial for the success of the treatment. To improve this process, serious games can be integrated into rehabilitation activities. In this sense, the digital game CicloExergame was developed, in which the patient must pedal in a cycle ergometer, dodging obstacles and collecting coins, while physiological data are captured and presented. The objective of this work is to evaluate CicloExergame regarding its communication functionalities, together with specialists (physiotherapist), through the Delphi method, and volunteers in a controlled environment. Tests and evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness of CicloExergame for the telerehabilitation of patients.
