Abstract

Competency-based learning balances theory and practice, essential in spinal anesthesia and requires psychomotor skills acquired through practice. This study presents AnesteSIM, a virtual reality simulator that covers all stages of spinal anesthesia with haptic feedback and automatic assessment. User actions are evaluated based on literature guidelines and clinical practices, generating detailed performance reports. AnesteSIM is a complementary tool to traditional spinal anesthesia training, offering more safe and interactive training opportunities.
