Abstract

Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life for patients with life-threatening illnesses. This study presents the mHealth Palliative Control application extended for home care via telehealth. The Palliative Control application has been extended for utilization in home care via telehealth. This novel iteration has been developed to empower patients and caregivers by enabling them to record symptoms and access educational content, conferring heightened autonomy to patients, family members, and health professionals. Additionally, a blockchain-based security module is under development to ensure the integrity and privacy of patient data. The system is currently undergoing validation with the Hospital das Clínicas (HC) of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), with testing planned after the full implementation of the proposed architecture.
