Building Digital Citizens: The vital role of schools in responsible technological education
Abstract
This work proposes the implementation of a mini-course on citizenship and digital security, which aims to work on topics such as web security, citizenship practices involving coexistence on social networks and data protection in the context of the final years of elementary school and high school, with a focus on skills related to digital culture with an emphasis on security and responsibility in the use of technology. The theoretical-methodological framework is qualitative bibliographic, exploring some case studies and using resources such as videos and images that illustrate examples, as well as an application to test the security of passwords, in order to contribute to the formation of citizens with greater digital responsibility and also to protect themselves while using the internet.
