Digital games and the encouragement of executive functions among university students: a systematic review

Abstract


The objective of this research was to carry out a mapping of the literature to investigate how digital games can constitute a locus that stimulates executive functions among university students. The mapping was carried out in different databases, identified four articles that met the research objective. The reduced number of scientific productions found reveals a gap in the national and international research scenario. However, it was possible to perceive that digital games can stimulate certain cognitive skills of student- players, but not all game genres stimulate all executive functions, making it necessary to make specific choices.
