“Tabuleirando no IFAM”: initial results on the contributions of a modern board game club
Abstract
Introduction: The project “Tabuleirando no IFAM” is a board game club that offers students at the institution access to modern board games. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the project’s contributions from the perspective of students enrolled in the 2nd and 3rd years of high school in 2025. Methodology: Data were collected through responses to four questions from a questionnaire applied to 15 students who regularly participated in the project. The responses were subjected to a preliminary exploratory descriptive analysis. Preliminary Results: Students reported that their motivation to participate in the project involved social aspects (socialization, forming new friendships, among others), entertainment, and interest in the games themselves. Overall, their memories, as well as the project's influence on interpersonal relationships and personal development, were described positively, reinforcing the project's contribution to various aspects of student development. The continuation of the research is expected to consolidate these preliminary results and bring new discussions to the topic.
