Music Teaching and Learning and the Use of Applications: a Qualitative Analysis

Abstract

Music is a relevant discipline for basic education, and it is possible to find in the Brazilian National Common Core (BNCC) several skills related to the realm of musical learning. The process of musical teaching and learning can utilize various means to achieve its pedagogical objectives. Numerous authors address the importance of using apps for enhancement in the process. However, the opportunities and challenges in using apps for the development of musical skills outlined in the BNCC are not systematized. The aim of this work is to indicate the possibilities of using musical apps in a formal teaching and learning context in light of the musical skills to be developed, as defined by the BNCC.
