The use of Gemini artificial intelligence in the argumentative process of ENEM essays - Perspective of Former Entrance Exam Candidates

Abstract

With technological advances, education professionals need to take advantage of technological resources to help college students learn. To this end, LearningLab project analyzed the use of Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) in the process of constructing arguments for writing the national high school exam (ENEM). This analysis was carried out in a quantitative and qualitative way, in which former university students answered two questionnaires, one about their difficulties in arguing and the other about their opinions regarding the use of AI in newsrooms. The results show that students enjoyed using AI in the process of learning a dissertation-argumentative text.
