A Context Model to Support Accessibility in Video Calling Tools
Abstract
Due to the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of video calls has become indispensable for the continuation of daily activities. In this scenario, there is a gap related to accessibility for the inclusion of people with disabilities. The objective of this work is to propose a tool to complement video calling platforms, by providing instructions and automating some tasks inherent to the participation of people with visual impairments. For this purpose, a context model was developed, structured from a study with users, where the main problems related to accessibility in video call platforms were highlighted. Through this approach it is possible to provide accessible information related to the aspects of their video, such as image framing and brightness level.References
