Abstract

Usability is a quality attribute that measures how easy it is for users to interact with an interface. Informational Privacy is the ability of individuals to control the dissemination and use of their personal information in the digital context. There is a need to develop systems that allow users to control and configure how the system will use their data. This paper proposes a usability checklist focused on privacy features in social networks. An evaluation made by potential users when using the checklist to evaluate the usability of privacy features of a social network showed the feasibility of the checklist but highlighted the need to improve its clarity. Future work includes revising the checklist's language to make it more understandable and accessible, in addition to expanding its application to other platforms and contexts.
