Abstract

Nowadays, social networks are an inexhaustible source of information, true or false, but always relevant. In a disorganized way, many people use this media to propagate information and opinions that can be used by the government to map various problems that are often not presented in an official way. This work has the objetice of presenting the proposal of a methodology for automatic extraction of security events reported on social networks, such as armed conflicts, thefts, robberies, among others, in the form of microtext. We hope that the information from this extraction can help decision support systems in making good public actions.
