The Use of Checklists for Evaluating the Usability of a Web-based ODL Environment

Abstract


The use of the Internet as a medium for Distance Education enables many advantages over traditional methods. However in order for the potential of new technologies to revert into benefits for the for the users it is necessary that the systems have usability. In this article presents the results obtained from a usability evaluation of the AdaptWeb of the student environment of AdaptWeb. The evaluation was conducted through application of two checklists; one generic and the other focused on educational environment.
