Qualidade de Experiência do Uusário em uma Rede WiFi Municipal usando Streaming de Vídeo

Abstract


Municipal WiFi networks aim to provide free Internet access via wireless network, to encourage citizen participation and promote digital inclusion. However, these infrastructures generally do not perform well and performance appraisal results are not available. The approach of this article is to conduct experiments involving the use of video streaming in digital squares distributed in various regions of the city of São Paulo. A performance analysis was performed in the squares using metrics that evaluate both the Quality of User Experience and the Quality of Service of the network. The results show that for different squares, days and levels of video quality, most of the time the result is satisfactory for users.
