The Proceedings of the 23rd Symposium on Virtual and Augmented Reality (SVR 2021) bring the papers selected and presented in the online edition of the event, held from October 18th to 21st, 2021. In this issue, the proceedings include 24 papers, from which 16 full papers and 8 short papers. These papers were selected through a double-blind review, from a total of 38 submitted papers, which implied an acceptance rate of 63%. The program committee was coordinated by Daniela Trevisan (Fluminense Federal University, Brazil) and Victor Adriel de Jesus Oliveira (St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences, Austria). The articles in this volume were submitted on 08/09/2021, accepted for publication on 09/08/2021, with the final version submitted on 09/18/2021.
