The Proceedings of the 9th Workshop on Aspects of Human-Computer Interaction for the Social Web (WAIHCWS 2018) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Belém, on October 22, 2018, as part of the 17th Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems. This event edition had the theme “Web and social, economical and environmental relations”. The event's program committee was coordinated by José Viterbo (UFF), Rodrigo Santos (UNIRIO), and Kamila Rodrigues (UFSCar), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 08/05/2018, accepted for publication on 08/26/2018.
