The Importance of Financial Planning for Information Technology Startups in the Metropolitan Region of Recife - PE
Abstract
In Brazil, the growth of Information Technology (IT) startups, has shown a great evolution in the last decade. These companies present an innovative and scalable business model in the short term. This research aims to analyze the importance of financial planning for IT startups, which are installed in the Community Manguez.AL and those that are affiliated to the Association of Brazilian Information Technology Companies - Assespro PE / PB and the Excellence in Software Technology of Recife - SOFTEX RECIFE, located in the Metropolitan Region of Recife / PE. To achieve this goal, the research adopted an adhoc literature review as a methodology along with a field research using the qualitative approach through an online questionnaire. As expected results we obtained the characteristics of the profile of this type of entrepreneur, the characteristics of the financial planning that is being adopted by these companies and the difficulties encountered by the companies for the sustainability of the business. From this study, we developed a set of effective practices to assist startups in organizing their financial planning.
