O Encurtamento do Debate sobre Jornada de Trabalho com Vídeos Shorts: Um Estudo sobre a Escala 6x1 no YouTube
Resumo
Online political debate on online social networks has undergone transformations driven by the phenomenon of “Tik-Tokization”, a model that prioritizes immediate engagement and short video consumption at the expense of informational depth. This article investigates the empirical impacts of this phenomenon on the YouTube ecosystem, using the mobilization around the 6x1 work schedule in Brazil as a case study. Based on a dataset of 476 videos, we structured a methodological framework that combines natural language processing techniques and complex networks. The results demonstrate a predominance of Shorts videos that, although highly viral, fragment the discussion. We also identified a scenario of strong polarization, dominated by opinionated biases and negative emotional appeal. Additionally, the semantic network revealed substantial narrative differences between discourses opposing and favoring the 6x1 schedule. This study contributes empirical evidence on how TikTokization superficializes complex debates and offers a reproducible framework for analyzing sociopolitical discourse on social media.
