Ensino de Programação para Alunas de Ensino Médio: Relato de uma Experiência

Abstract


This paper describes an experience conducted with high school girls, at Campinas, in order to bring them closer to computer science and technology areas. To attract the interest and hold the attention of young girls, the project was developed around the theme of building applications for smartphones. As a development platform, we used the MIT App Inventor educational tool to create Android applications. The applied methodology, the challenges, and the achieved results are reported to make possible the improvement and the replication of this experience.
