An accessibility analysis: Google Classroom

Abstract


The present paper investigates whether the tool chosen by Federal Universities is accessible or not for people with disabilities based on international guidelines and standards and recommendations from the Brazilian Federal Government. For this, we carried out a case study, sending a questionnaire and scheduling interviews to understand the experience of students with disabilities within the Information Systems course at Campus Niterói at UFF. In addition to that, we perform automated analyzes using government-recommended tools and manual Google Classroom analysis to assess the accessibility of the system.
