Web Educational Tool for Cache Memory Simulation

Abstract

The traditional model of teaching where the teacher uses static means, like slides, books and blackboard is not sufficient for understanding the various concepts of Memory Hierarchy. According to the literature, the integration of the traditional model of teaching and use of didactic simulators can contribute to better understanding of the content, on this account they are able to present the theoretical concepts so more clearly and didactically. Therefore, this paper describes an educational tool for web simulation of cache memory, which aims to help teach about Memory Hierarchy.
