Implementing a Distance Learning Methodology Based on MVPs and Integrated with Market Needs
Abstract
This paper reports the experience of implementing four new digital postgraduate courses of PUC-Rio’s Informatics Department. The courses were designed with an innovative methodology, including the organization of the courses in Sprints, in which students develop Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that evaluate learning hypotheses. The programs were launched in February 2023 and already had more than 600 students from all over Brazil at the end of the first Sprint. Most students successfully developed their MVPs, incorporating them into their professional portfolios and demonstrating their learning through hands-on projects of their own. After one year, the courses had already received more than 1300 registrations and graduated more than 500 professionals.References
