Building an ontology for selecting IT professionals
Abstract
The IT market is growing rapidly, but recruiting qualified professionals is challenging due to the lack of standardization in technical skills. A study developed an ontology to represent these competencies, using recruitment data from Porto Digital in Recife/PE. A matching algorithm was created to calculate the similarity between job vacancies and candidates, validating the ontology and the algorithm. Validation compared manual assessments by IT professionals with automatic assessments by the algorithm, demonstrating similar efficiency to traditional selection methods.References
