Abstract

The transmission of infectious diseases, such as the virus that causes COVID-19, has become increasingly relevant due to its direct impact on society, affecting both economic and social sectors. However, these impacts are not evenly distributed across the population, with more intense effects on people living in vulnerable areas – due to greater exposure to the virus and difficulties in accessing the healthcare system. This work proposes a multi-agent system, developed using NetLogo, to simulate the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The main contribution of this proposal is a multi-agent simulation model that incorporates both social and clinical aspects of the population.
