Women in Science: An Overview of WIT Publications
Abstract
Women in Information Technology (WIT) is an event that aims to disseminate studies and projects that encourage female participation in computing. In this sense, this paper seeks to verify the current panorama of the event's publications, identifying which are the most discussed topics and the regions that publish the most. The analysis of papers published in the last six years (2016-2021) of WIT was carried out. As a result, it is concluded that there is a predominance of specific topics and an inequality of contribution by regions and states, with the need to encourage thematic and regional diversities.
