Social Media Profiles for Girls and Women interested in STEM and STEAM
Abstract
Gender stereotypes and low female representation are some of the aspects that reduce women's interaction with STEM/STEAM themes. This work presents a mapping of active profiles in the social media Instagram that address and support the women's agenda in these areas. Were 45 profiles identified, from a search with descriptors, inclusion and exclusion criteria. It was observed that the profiles contribute to the insertion of women in STEM/STEAM and resignify the field as a space for women.
