Abstract

This article provides an experience report on the activities conducted over two years of the project Include Meninas to deconstruct stereotypes and empower girls and women in Computing. Practical activities were carried out with the involvement of teachers and students from public schools, with a brown and black majority, as well as undergraduate students and teachers in Computing. Among the main lessons learned, we highlight the difference that funding makes for school students and teachers, as well as the benefits and advances of the project during this period. Our results contribute to reflections, actions, and development of other projects favoring gender equity in Computing.
