Beyond Gender: Exploring Multiple Perspectives of Women in Computing
Abstract
This paper explores different perceptions of women in their academic and professional experiences in computing, considering intersectionalities with other aspects beyond gender. The research methodology involved collecting information from 77 women using online forms. The reports exposed challenges that transcend the issue of gender in computing, expanding to aspects such as ableism, ageism, and regional prejudices. This highlights the importance of expanding the discussion about women in computing to cover other dimensions.
