TWIST: Software Developer Training Program
Abstract
In this paper, we describe TWIST, a six-month training program created at the Tecgraf Institute, at PUC-Rio, with the goal of attracting more women to software development. We describe the first edition of the program, which took place in 2023 and was aimed at female students in the first semesters of undergraduate programs in Engineering or Computer Science. The feedback from the participants was very positive and several of them are now engaged in software development projects at PUC-Rio.
