Far Beyond Competition: The Journey of MinasCoders in the Technovation Girls

Abstract

This work describes the continuous improvement methodology applied within the context of the MinasCoders extension program, aimed at enabling the cyclical and ongoing participation of elementary and high school/technical education female students in the Technovation Girls entrepreneurship and technology competition between 2018 and 2025. The results show that, starting in 2024, there was a significant increase in the target audience involved, due to the program’s expansion through partnerships with other educational institutions. In response to this growth, the methodology was enhanced, with emphasis on the introduction of new activities and events, the development of a mentor network, and the adoption of a hybrid training format.
