Desempenho de Algoritmos de Proteção por Caminho Compartilhado Sensíveis às Limitações da Camada Física em Redes WDM
Resumo
Nas redes com tecnologia wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), as falhas podem implicar em grande perda de dados devido a taxas de transmissão alta, levando à necessidade do emprego de mecanismos de proteção. Além disso, as limitações da camada física em redes transparentes podem degradar, significativamente, a qualidade do sinal. Se esta estiver abaixo de valores aceitáveis, esse caminho não pode ser utilizado, portanto, a qualidade de transmissão tem de ser verificada pelos algoritmos de roteamento e alocação de comprimento de onda. Este artigo introduz dois novos algoritmos que adotam mecanismo de proteção de caminho compartilhado em redes WDM, que levam em consideração os efeitos PMD, ASE e crosstalk na seleção de caminhos. A eficácia destes algoritmos é comparada à eficácia dos algoritmos insensíveis às limitações da camada física.Referências
