The Pre-IETF Workshop (WPIETF) is an annual event whose main objective is to foster and expand the presence of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in Latin America. The IETF, together with its research arm of the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF), forms an international community of people interested in producing standards for the Internet. Created in 2014 by the IETF-LAC group, the workshop is characterized as a technical-scientific forum for the setting of technicians, students and researchers to be presented to the IETF. The character of WPIETF implies offering an event with technical sessions, lectures, short courses, and hands-on workshops on current and relevant topics in the area of ​​computer networking. Submitted articles go through a phase of submission and subsequent judgment. Those articles with the best qualifications will be selected to compose the proceedings and for presentation at the event.
