The Proceedings of the 7th Workshop on Testing and Fault Tolerance (WTF 2006) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Curitiba/PR, Brazil, on May 29, 2006, as part of the 24th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks (SBRC 2006). In this issue, the proceedings include 16 full papers and 03 extended abstracts. These papers were selected through a blind review. The event was organized by The Federal University of Parana (UFPR), The Federal Technological University of Parana (UTFPR) and The Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUC-PR). The General Chairs were Lau Cheuk Lung (PUC-PR) and Luis Rodrigues (University of Lisbon). The articles in this volume were submitted on 04/03/2006, accepted for publication on 04/24/2006, with the final version submitted on 05/02/2006.

The WTF is promoted by the Special Commission on Fault Tolerant Systems (CE-TF) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).

The historical rescue of this edition, including the recovery of the files and the acquisition of the metadata, was carried out by Prof. Luiz Antonio Rodrigues (Unioeste) with special assistance from Prof. Elias P. Duarte Jr. (UFPR).
