Evaluating the Use of the AppAlpha Application in the Literacy Process of Adults
Abstract
In order to make the literacy process more dynamic, a strategy adopted is the use of Learning Objects (LOs). In this article we present one of these LOs, the AppAlpha, and its evaluation. This LO seeks to exercise the connection between sound and letter through a hangman game, also working on the spelling of words. To be able to evaluate it, the LO was used by adult students and teachers in order to obtain their feedback, considering as points of observation its acceptance, ease of use and its functionalities. Based on their opinion, it was possible to perceive a great acceptance from both groups that participated in this study, which shows that AppAlpha has potential to support the literacy process.
