Developing Computational Thinking in the Classroom
Abstract
The research highlights the challenges faced by Brazilian public high school teachers in implementing Computational Thinking (CP) in the classroom, aggravated by gaps in teacher training and technological inequalities. Based on concepts from Wing (2006), such as abstraction, decomposition, pattern recognition and algorithms, the study seeks to investigate describing the concepts and foundations of computational thinking in the teaching practices of high school teachers in Brazil. The research adopts a qualitative approach, with interviews, questionnaires and unplugged activities, analyzing data to identify difficulties.
