Resumo

The subsea valves used in oil and gas extraction processes operate under extreme conditions, and anticipating their anomalies raises important social, technical, and economic implications. This paper proposes a framework based on the Deep Neural Networks for One-Class Classification paradigm on multivariate time series to detect rare anomalies. Based on literature reviews, we designed our framework and observed that our adopted paradigm was not widely adopted, as only one model type is typically used. We evaluate three DNN architectures (CNNs, LSTMs, and Informer) on the public 3W dataset. The empirical results show that the Informer architecture achieves the best results in 4 out of 6 scenarios and the second-best in the other 2.
