Interaction design with USINN notation: initial results on designers' practical experience
Abstract
Developing products that promote quality of use requires adopting user-centered design techniques that allow designers to express their intentions to satisfy user needs. Notations proposed in the HCI area as HTA, CTT, MoLIC, and USINN, aim to explore the user's perspective during their interaction with the system, rather than technical aspects inherent only to the system and its functionalities. The USINN notation proposes a modeling perspective focused on inserting usability mechanisms throughout the interaction, such as canceling and undoing actions, providing feedback on the progress of actions, favoriting items, and structuring data entry. This paper presents an investigation of the perception of designers of a project during the adoption of USINN notation.
