Malha Digital dos Territórios da Estratégia Saúde da Família do Município de Castanhal – PA
Abstract
The Family Health Strategy (FHS) is the basic health care model in the Brazilian unified health system, which runs through the implementation of multidisciplinary teams in basic health units. Its focus is on disease prevention and primary health care delivery. Each team has a defined number of families to take care, in a specific territory. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been used as a powerful tool for integration, visualization and analysis of data related to public health, identifying risk factors and indicating priority areas for intervention. This research project aims to use GIS to build the FHS territorial digital map in order to improve the management of the information related to the leprosy control program in Castanhal - PA.
