Abstract

Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life for patients, providing a humane end-of-life experience while alleviating pain and other symptoms. Controle Paliativo is an application developed to assist the palliative care team at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Universidade Federal de Goiás. The hospital’s application enables health professionals to apply scales and monitor the progression of patients’ illnesses centrally. This paper aims to introduce the Controle Paliativo application, including its functionalities, architecture, technologies, and development details. Its use in hospital routines has significantly aided healthcare professionals in enhancing the quality of treatment and comfort for patients receiving palliative care.
