Um Estudo sobre Ferramentas de Apoio para o Projeto de Sistemas de Banco de Dados

Abstract

The use of tools and techniques of Artificial Intelligence to support Database Systems design activities is a research area of Computer Science whose products may have considerable commercial value. Despite this, research activity in the area is not so intense as one would expect. This work presents part of a study on knowledge based systems developed as tools to support Database design and assist DB designers in performing their task. A significant collection of systems was chosen, and each system is briefly described. The study is concluded with an analysis and comparison of the systems in the collection.
