Selection of Teaching Assistants for an OO Programming Course: a Case Study on their Previous Experience Data
Abstract
Students who work as teaching assistants perform an essential pedagogicalrole in programming courses. These assistants create summative andformative feedback for students and are selected based upon different factors, such as previous experiences in the course and the subject. In this work, weevaluate the data about teaching assistance in a case study that focus on previousexperiences and results of the feedback given by these assistants. We foundthat the different previous experiences of students did not affect the summativefeedback and had little impact on the length of the formative feedback.
