Abstract

Many studies show that the use of technologies may help individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in diverse areas, but it is challenging to develop applications for this target audience due to the vast array of symptoms linked to the disorder. As such this integrative review investigates guidelines that guide the development of software for users with ASD. Many of the found guidelines are turned towards aspects such as accessibility and usability. From the selected studies, it is sought to present considerations about the guidelines. Finally, it is also highlighted the importance of validating the guidelines.
