The Proceedings of the 33rd Brazilian Symposium on Computers in Education (SBIE 2022) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from November 16 to 19, 2022, in Manaus/AM, as part of the 11th Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2022) which had the theme "Our technologies in Education and the appreciation of Brazilian identity and culture". In this issue, the proceedings include 125 full papers, which were selected through a double-blind peer review, with an acceptance rate of 31%. The event's Program Committee was coordinated by Thais Helena Chaves de Castro (UFAM) and Ismar Frango Silveira (Mackenzie/Cruzeiro do Sul), who organized this volume together with Rafael Dias Araújo (UFU), CBIE 2022 Publications Chair. The papers in this volume were submitted on 07/17/2022, and accepted for publication on 08/19/2022, with the camera-ready version submitted on 09/19/2022.

SBIE 2022 included five thematic tracks:

  • Track 1: Methodological and Technological Approaches for Basic and Higher Education, coordinated by Liamara Scortegagna (UFJF) and Thomaz Edson Veloso da Silva (FUNCAP/UFC), pages 01 to 344;
  • Track 2: Educational Games and Innovative Technology for Education, coordinated by Alexandre Cardoso (UFU) and Valéria Farinazzo Martins (Mackenzie), pages 345 to 620;
  • Track 3: Human Factors in Digital Technology in Education, coordinated by Eliana Alves Moreira (IFSP) and Julio Cesar dos Reis (UNICAMP), pages 621 to 797;
  • Track 4: Intelligent and Adaptive Systems, coordinated by Diego Dermeval (UFAL) and Rodrigo Lins (UFRPE), pages 798 to 1232;
  • Track 5: Digital Technologies for the Development of Computational Thinking and Computing Education, coordinated by Aladir Ferreira da Silva Júnior (IFG) and Mirella Moro (UFMG), pages 1233 to 1455.
